A Google "Glitch" ?

If you go to google.com, and type "failure" into the search query box and then press the "I'm feeling lucky" button, you will end up...

here. (<-- Make sure to click the link, kids!)

Ha!

They will probably "fix it" soon, but I tried it and it worked, and they can't take that away from me.

No, it's not a glitch. This came out during the election too. "Miserable failure" works also. Google's algorithm works by taking a searcher to the site that the most people go to when searching a particular string. In other words, if you Google "Craig Bolton" and twenty sites came up, they would be put in rank order according to how many hits each site receives for that search term. So if you can get your million best friends to click on the George W. biography link when they google "miserable failure," you can sort of contort Google's algorithm to make political statements. I think it's important that we all learn to manipulate the system.
